Debbie Bailey, Rotary Club of Sun Lakes February 2022 Rotarian of the Month Award winner

The Rotary Club of Sun Lakes (RCSL) is proud to name Debbie Bailey as the club’s February 2022 Rotarian of the Month. Debbie joined RCSL in August 2021 and has been making a very positive impact. She is a retired educator and is sometimes dressed in white satin, being a big, longtime fan of The Moody Blues. Debbie has been engaged in several community service projects and activities since joining. She was the project lead on the cabinetry installation “Closet Project” at Chandler High School, a community service project completed in January 2022 in collaboration with Classy Closets and the school.
As a member of the Golf Committee, Debbie has obtained sponsorship donations, including a $1,000 Birdie Sponsorship. Debbie sent out nearly 100 letters to area businesses seeking donations and sponsorships, bringing in much auction merchandise and gift cards. Debbie assisted in the interview of student Shinny Obiako for a The Rotary Vocational Fund of Arizona (TRVFA) Scholarship in a Practical Nursing Program at Gateway Community College. Debbie, along with other Rotarians, assists with the Sun Lakes Splash deliveries. RCSL is proud of Debbie—an outstanding member who looks forward to participating in future RCSL service activities.
Sun Lakes Rotary Club (chartered April 22, 1986) is a leadership organization made up of men and women from local businesses, professional, education, civic and emerging leaders.
