Neighbors Who Care Unveiled Its New Van to Provide Support to East Valley Seniors

Neighbors Who Care, the Chandler-based non-profit dedicated to assisting seniors in Sun Lakes and South Chandler, celebrated with 100 of its friends, volunteers, and clients by unveiling our new van at a volunteer appreciation event in April, held at Risen Savior Lutheran Church parking lot. The new van was funded by contributions from the community, including additional grants from Dignity Health, Intel, Sundt, Greater Sun Lakes Community Foundation, and Lions International, and Sun Lakes evening club.

“Neighbors Who Care is so grateful for each and every person who contributed to making this new van a reality,” said Sheryl Keeme, executive director at Neighbors Who Care. “With this new van, we will be able to continue our mission to help older adults maintain their independence with rides for groceries along with fellow clients.”

“Adding this van to our efforts will change the game for us. This van allows us to transport our clients to and from food stores,” said Ramon Rubio, volunteer driver and board member at Neighbors Who Care.
