On Sept. 13 the POD was “Fours.” The winner in the first flight was Glo Malmberg, Leslie Smith was second, and Dang Teater was third. In the second flight, Dari Akin took first place, Joann Rebillard was second, and Linda Thrash was third.
All the even holes were counted on Sept. 20. Leslie Smith took first place in the first flight, Mary Dyrseth and Nancy Cohn tied for second. The second flight was won by Mary Light, Phyllis D’Amore was second, and tied for third were Kathy Burns and Pat Schepp.
Our final play day before overseeding was on Sept. 27. The POD was the five longest and the four shortest holes, called “Mutt and Jeff.” The winner in the first flight was Dang Teater, second was Mary Dyrseth, and there was a three-way tie for third with Sue Pederson, Karen Tucker, and Leslie Smith. In the second flight, Terry Jung and Sherry Rogers tied for first place and Pat Schepp and Colleen Ritter tied for third. Flight 3 was won by Phyllis D’Amore, Karen Beltz was second, and Beth Ebmeier was third.
Since overseeding started, our next play day won’t be until Nov. 1, when we will be playing from the 150-yard marker on all holes.
