The Dolly Dressers of Sun Lakes, now called Doll Collector Club, is looking for and accepting doll donations of all kinds. The donated dolls are repaired and refurbished as needed and then donated to girls who otherwise might not have a doll to play with. We need 18-inch dolls of the American Girl type, including her cousins from Target and Walmart, and lots of 12-inch Barbie-type dolls. We are very proficient at fixing hair, eyes, and removing “magic marker” stains. We are also in the business of repairing your much-loved rag dolls, early composition-type dolls from the 1930s and 1940s, and other collectable dolls like Shirley Temple, Toni dolls, and the much-loved bride doll of the 1950s. If we can’t fix your doll, we know who can. Repair is done on a fee for service scale. We also take in, repair, and donate rag dolls, Cabbage Patch babies, Build-A-Bears, and other stuffed animals. For more information, call or text Johnie Scofield at 602-510-7995.
