The Computer Booters Club will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. in the Cottonwood Computer Learning Center, at 25630 S. Brentwood Drive, in Sun Lakes. Rob Truman will give a presentation on “Online (Cloud) Storage; What Is It, and Should I Use It?” File syncing and storage services provide seamless access to all your data—Word docs, PDFs, spreadsheets, photos, and any other digital assets—wherever you are. Syncing and storage services also add safety and security to your online life, because when you sync files via the cloud, you create a backup of them by default as well. If you lose your laptop, all your files are still accessible to you when you log into your syncing service from any browser. And when it comes to collaborating, having a cloud storage and syncing service usually means multiple people can edit files at the same time, with all your version history saved automatically. Join us as we examine the various online storage providers and the services they provide.

The usual meeting format is general announcements followed by a presentation on a computer- or technology-related topic. The presentation is followed by a time for questions and answers and an opportunity to visit with other members.

The club has four forums or discussion groups throughout the month on the following topics: Phones, Basic Computers, Artificial Intelligence, and Microsoft Office 365.
