Mary Figgis

Mary Dyrseth

Greetings, fellow golfers, from Cartagena, Columbia. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any emeralds. I’m off to see the sloths in Costa Rica today. Meanwhile, my son sent me a picture of a lynx he came across while cross-country skiing in the boundary waters of Northern Minnesota. For those of you who don’t know what a lynx looks like, think a very large bobcat. They do make beautiful fur coats. Anyway, while I’ve been floating around South and Central America, the OLGA golfers have been fighting it out for the Club Championship.

Mary Figgis smoked her competition to win the 2025 Championship by shooting a smooth 77 on the final day of the three-week competition. Cindy Reinertsen and Peggy Cooper tied for runner-up, and Christa Pensworth finished third in the first flight.

The second flight found Janet Barnett taking first and Cathy Engen and Andy Harper finishing second and third, respectively.

Third flight winners were Barbara Kassel, Roselyn Hoiby, and Diane McCauley in first, second, and third place.

Fourth flight winners were Nancy Cohn in first, Colleen Ritter in second, and Susie LaSalvia in third.

Silver Flight 1 winners were Shirley Weaver, Barbara Anderson, and Linda Morris in first, second, and third, respectively.

Silver Flight 2 winners were Liz Pritchard, Mary Buhrt, and Janey Garibay, in that order.

Congratulations to all the winners. Better luck next year to the rest of us.
