HIIT Water Aerobics to Start Tuesday, April 1

Dena Brinkman

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Water Aerobics with Dena will start on Tuesday, April 1, in the Sun Lakes Phase 1 remodeled pool. Two classes will be taught every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 8 a.m. and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The workout will include cardio and strength training.

Aquatic exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off the bones, joints, and muscles. Water also offers natural resistance, which can help strengthen the muscles. Aquatic exercise can have many health benefits, such as improved heart health, reduced stress, and improved muscular endurance and strength. The resistance you encounter in water also means that you burn more calories than you would on land and helps to work more muscles. Plus, being in the water is the perfect place to be for our Sun Lakes summers!
