OLGA’s Member/Guest event was held on March 19. The theme was “Sporty Golf Girls.” You were supposed to wear your favorite team jersey. Based on the pictures I saw of the entrants, I don’t think we have that many sports fans in OLGA. If I was able to go, I would have worn the Real Madrid soccer jersey my son purchased in Barcelona. Thanks to Christa Pensworth and Sue Pederson for planning the event. Thanks also to Sally Berreth for arranging the raffle baskets and to Carolyn Marchuk for running the horse race.
Now for the results:
There was a three-way tie for first place. Peggy Cooper and her guest won a scorecard playoff to take the honors. Sandy Brandt and guest and Dang Teater and Connie Harper were the other groups tied for first place.
Mary Perry and guest won the second flight, and Christa Pensworth and guest and Julie Clausen and Sue Saylor tied for second and third place. In the third flight, Amanda McLoone and Jan McCarthy and Joni Hiller and guest tied for first and second, and Sue Pederson and Sue Olson placed third.
In the fourth flight, Cheri Curtin and Chris Burcham were first, Karen Stock and Mercedes Dellacroce were second, and Barb Anderson and guest took third. In the fifth flight, Janey Garibay and guest won first, and Vicki Scott and Jane Huber and Tammy Bailey and guest tied for second and third. In the sixth flight, Colleen Ritter and Debbie Flinn won first, Susie LaSalvia and Sharma Goodwin were second, and Pam Shumard and her guest tied for third.
Another successful guest day in the books. Next up was the OLGA/MOGA (Kings and Queens) mixed golf event on April 15. That event is always a lot of fun. See you next month with those results and any other newsworthy events I happen to come across.
