The Sun Lakes Democratic Club, community members, family, friends, and volunteers from the Ukrainian community joined forces on Oct. 18 and 19 for a clothing drive for Ukraine that has been nothing short of phenomenal. What began as a simple call to help families affected by war quickly turned into a wave of generosity that exceeded every expectation. Together we transformed the collection site into a vibrant hub of compassion and teamwork. Volunteers worked hard to sort, fold, bag, and prepare the donations for the trip to the Ukrainian center in Phoenix. We collected more than 140 boxes of clothing.
The success of this drive is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community unites for a common cause. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated, volunteered, or helped spread the word. Your kindness is proof that even in the darkest times, humanity shines brightest. Together, we’ve made a real difference.
We would like to take some time to thank all the volunteers from the Sun Lakes Democratic Club for all of their contributions this year. This December we will celebrate everyone’s efforts at our monthly meeting as well as to celebrate the holidays with one another.
