December has arrived, and with it comes the excitement of the holiday season! Our Sew-N-Sews members are busy creating wonderful, handmade gifts and festive projects. This is a joyful time for sharing creativity, learning new techniques, and connecting with friends.
Sew-N-Sews is offering many opportunities to try something new or refresh your skills, with new teachers, workshops, and classes available! We’re especially grateful to the Greater Sun Lakes Community Foundation grant, which helps make these opportunities possible by providing funds for supplies and teacher compensation.
We’re also blessed to receive continued support from the Sun Lakes Women’s Association, Sun Lakes Rotary Club, and others whose generosity allows us to give back to our community through creative service.
Join us for our member Christmas Luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 11:30 a.m. in the Palo Verde dining room. We’ll enjoy a festive program featuring the Sun Lakes Chordaires and plenty of fun, food, and fellowship!
At our November meeting, we welcomed Lori from Quilt Central in Green Valley who inspired us with her creative ideas for using fabric panels in quilt design.
Join us! Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, September through May, in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 E. Sun Lakes Blvd., in Sun Lakes. Meetings begin at 1 p.m.
Guests are always welcome. Stop by to meet new friends, share ideas, and enjoy the fun of crafting and sewing together!
For more information, email sewnsews1@gmail.com, or better yet, come join us at our next meeting. We’d love to see you there!
