At the tender age of 12, I had no idea of what a baby shower was—being confused with the terminology. Well, in time, I learned that it is a community expression of goodwill toward the pregnant mother and the hope of a blessed life for the baby to come.
Communities come in all shapes and sizes: social club communities, family clans, faith communities, and town or city communities. We, at Sun Lakes, enjoy a community of diverse activity and enjoyment, and we have an opportunity to share the delight of blessing expectant mothers in the Chandler area.
Choices Pregnancy Centers offers unwed mothers prenatal care, education in parenting—as well as professional training for job placement, and newborn essentials (diapers, clothing, etc.) for infants from new born to 5T. First Baptist Church of Sun Lakes is a drop-off location for a community baby shower. All gifts will be given to CPC for assistance in meeting their driving goal to assist unwed mothers.
Would you be willing to be a part? If so, you may drop off infant supplies such as formula, clothing, and disposable diapers at First Baptist Church of Sun Lakes, 9535 E. Riggs Road (across from the CVS Pharmacy).
