The 2026 Gayle King invitational golf tournament took place on March 20, 21, and 22 at the Oakwood and Ironwood Golf Courses. There were seven teams in each of the 10 flights for a total of 134 men playing three days with three different formats. The first day was a Scramble; second day was Best Ball, and the third day was Alternate Shot.
One team from each flight with the lowest three-day total score got into the playoffs. 20 determined golfers marched to the tee box. The playoff began at the fifth hole of Oakwood Lakes and two teams were eliminated at each hole until the ninth hole of the Lakes when there were only two teams remaining.
After three days of competition and a five-hole shootout, the winners, Terry Herbeck and Goeman complemented each other’s abilities to keep them in the game. Each team put their best golf forward to get to the finals.
