On April 11, the annual Ryder Cup was played. A two-man team from the white team played a two–man team from the blue team. Each match was played with the team with the best net ball winning the hole. Teams received one point for winning the front side, one point for winning the back side and one point for winning total. Twenty four teams competed with the white team defeating the blue team 45.5 to 26.5.
Another Ace of Aces Qualifier was played on April 18.
First Flight: Low Gross Rob Carr; Low Net Tony Korman.
Second Flight: Low Gross Jason Fletcher; Low Net Neal Lordos.
Third Flight: Low Gross Toss Conn; Low Net Tim Healy.
Fourth Flight: Low Gross Jerry Cisneros; Low Net Luis Guzman.
Fifth Flight Low Gross Bob Schaedel; Low Net Ernie Soczka.
On April 25 and 26 the annual CMGA versus the PVMGA was played with competition held on Cottonwood Golf Course on Saturday and PV Golf Course on Sunday. Seventeen two–man teams from both clubs competed in match play format with teams receiving one point for winning the front, one point for winning the back and one point for winning total. The men from Cottonwood took a commanding 39 to 12 lead on their home course. The PV men won 26-25 on their home course but lost the bragging rights 64-38. A cook–out with burgers, hot dogs and refreshments followed play at Cottonwood. Pizza and refreshment followed completion of play at PV.
Events planned for May include an Ace of Aces qualifier, the two round Eclectic Competition, a Pick your Partner one Low Net Team Challenge and a One Man Scramble with a choice of mulligan on a shot.
