In the past decade of hosting the essential oil and wellness club, many have asked how to get started learning without having any essential oils.
I usually tell them to crush rosemary or pine needles; or basil or mint leaves; or peel a piece of citrus and inhale deeply, noticing how they feel! (The chemical compounds in citrus can be both relaxing and mood elevating! Rosemary and mint are invigorating, etc.)
Every time my husband walks by a rosemary bush on his morning walks, he grabs a few needles, crushes, and inhales! (I challenge anyone to notice how they feel after doing this for a week!)
The chemistry in rosemary and frankincense have been shown to increase memory just by smelling! (There are numerous medical articles: Search pubmed.org).
During the summer our club meetings will be online via Zoom. We plan to resume in-person meetings at the clubhouse in the fall.
