The heavy heat is on, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Pack a few cold, wet cloths and use them as you play. Even a few minutes of cold water is helpful. July play was wisely arranged to minimize the time on the course, less heat exposure, better for the players.

VP/Social Liaison Sam Whitlock
Everyone knows that Sam Whitlock is a very social guy. Maybe that is why the President chose Sam to be the VP/Social Liaison for our League. Sam is the member who does all the hard work to ensure that the league is well fed at our Annual Meeting. Sam chooses the menu, gets the date and location set, and gets the meals for a fair price. Sam was a ready volunteer when asked to assist with League business, despite the fact that he has been a member for only two years. Sam’s job also entails working with the Pro Shop staff, Golf Management, and setting up the play schedules. And, he does all this with a smile.
