Palo Verde Lady Niners

We are fortunate to have a mother and daughter who are members of the PVLN. Patrice Cox and her daughter Jill Gonzalez enjoy getting together each Wednesday both on and off the golf course. Jill is our current Sunshine chair lady and Patrice is our past chairman.

Some of the PVLN members enjoy some socializing on the Palo Verde patio after our play one day in April. Don’t they all look as if they had a marvelous time on the golf course that day? Well, they may not have, but they know how to laugh about their foibles on the course and enjoy each other!

As the weather cools we snowbirds return and begin looking forward to our winter golf fun! So, it is not too early to polish up those golf clubs and practice your driving, pitching and putting to be ready for our first day of our fun competition on Nov. 4. We will have a shotgun start and a patio “Welcome Back” party that day to greet each other and catch up on our summer events. At that time, or before if you are playing in October, you can get your membership packet and pay the nominal $10 fee. The packet will thoroughly explain our format and the game competition for each week. Remember, however, you must sign up to play each week before Wednesday at the Palo Verde Pro shop.

If you are in town before our first official day of play, please consider playing on Wednesdays beginning at 2:30 p.m. for some practice with other Palo Verde Lady Niners (PVLN). We usually have a nice group during those October days before the PVLN season begins. And remember the 10th hole is always at the Palo Verde lounge, where we rehash our play, laugh a lot, imbibe a little, make new friendships and renew previous ones.
