We are coming to the end of our Sun Lakes summer and the end of summer play. It is 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning and our IWLN dedicated summer group of players are headed to the tee for a nine hole round to be followed by social time. There is a core group of members who play week after week, love the game and enjoy our casual summer play on our Ironwood Course. These dedicated members are Ann Gavin, Linda Liberti, Denise Fleshner, Marcia Gaudioso, Joan Sloan, BJ Krause, JoAnne Gaudioso, Susan Schaeffer, Judy Frink and Susan Meer. Many thanks to Marcia Gaudioso for providing us with well organized summer play and social time. Marcia double checks the pairings, finalizes the starting holes and gets everyone pointed in the right direction. We also appreciate all the ladies who contributed baked items, fruit and beverages which made our social time yummy.
October Calendar
The Ironwood Course will reopen following closure for overseed and our October play dates are October 14, 21 and 28. Our shotgun will be restricted to Cart Path Only because of overseeding the course. Our first board meeting of the season is October 28 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ironwood Clubhouse. Hopefully, all board members will be able to attend.
Activities Open House
We invite all ladies who are interested in playing golf, who meet the age requirement to reside in IronOaks and are curious about joining a league to come see us at the IronOaks Activities Open House. It will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Oakwood Ballroom. We play on Wednesday with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun followed by social time in the Ironwood Clubhouse. In addition to our regular membership we offer a Social Membership for former and current members who can only occasionally play, but are interested in attending our social events. Our Ironwood Lady Niners will be wearing our red shirts and our smiles. You will know us immediately by the infectious enthusiasm we have for our game and our league. We would love to meet you, tell you about our Nine-Hole Golf League and hopefully get you to join us.
