Crafting Together Series

Jan. 11, 17, and 25

All sessions begin at 10 a.m.

Join us for a unique craft! Each session provides an opportunity to create something new. Learn a new activity while you engage with the community, relax, and have fun. All skill levels are welcome, and all materials are provided as we enjoy crafting together!

Book and a Craft

Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Come to the library on the first Wednesday of the month to learn new rhymes, read fun books, and learn new literacy skills that you can practice at home! After the story, we will have a group craft or activity to do! Storytime is intended for families of all ages.

Family Fun Craft: Bird Feeder

Thursday, Jan. 4, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Join us at the library for a fun, family craft! Learn about birds and their migration while we create small feeders with pine cones. Drop in anytime between 10 and 11 a.m. to make your feeders. Please be aware of a nut allergen warning. Peanut butter will be used for this program.

Readers Rendezvous

Monday, Jan. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Join fellow readers once a month to talk about what you’re reading! This will be a book club-style discussion but with no required title to read. Discuss what you love to read, share some recommendations, and leave with new titles to read!

Family History and Writing Workshop: Getting Started with Family History

Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Have you thought about tracing your family’s history but don’t know where to begin? Duane Roen will share some readily available resources, tools, and strategies for getting started with researching your roots. This workshop is designed for those who have little or no experience in researching family history.

Ron Parker-Local Author Presentation

Friday, Jan. 12, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Ron Parker is the author of Chasing Centuries, a one-of-a-kind travel-history book that takes the reader along on an exciting and little-known adventure at the crossroads of archaeology and botany. Travel with Ron as he explores the depth and duration of human/agave coevolution across the Southwest desert.
