A.A.A.S.L. Game Night

John Appling

Join us every second Saturday of each month. We play a variety of board and card games, such as Mexican Train, dominoes, and Bid Whist. We ask everyone to bring their favorite game and snacks. There is always a lot of food and fun on Game Night. Games are played from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cottonwood Country Club. Park in the parking lot where you see the flagpole and go to the activity rooms area—we are in the Ceramic Room. The African American Association of Sun Lakes (A.A.A.S.L.) Game Night was started over five years ago by Larry Young and John and Gloria Appling. Our current host is Sonda Giles. You must be vaccinated. For more information, you may contact Sonda at [email protected].

The deadline to buy tickets to the A.A.A.S.L. Holiday Luncheon is Nov. 7. Don’t miss this event. The luncheon is in the Oakwood ballroom on Dec. 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. In addition to lunch, there will be gifts, live entertainment (Silhouette), and dancing with D.J. Kyle and Trish. For more information, contact Chairperson Gwen Rogers at 480-498-1508.
