Pat Horning, IronOaks President
It’s a new year, IronOaks residents!
As we welcome the new year, let’s take a moment to reflect on all we have to be grateful for. While many across the country are bundling up and shoveling snow, we are enjoying the beautiful 70- and 80-degree weather in Arizona.
Living in IronOaks, we have the privilege of exploring a variety of activities and attractions. From entertaining Billboard concerts, wine tastings, classes on smartphone photography, healthy eating, day trips to a wide variety of destinations, card games, and all the arts and crafts you can think of, there’s something for everyone. Don’t forget our fun events like Trivia Mondays, art shows, and our fantastic golf, tennis, and pickleball facilities. The saying at IronOaks is true: “You can be as active as you like, and you are only as bored as you elect to be!”
HOA Elections Are Here and Done!
It’s that time of year again—our annual elections! We had three board of directors seats open, with three candidates to fill the slots. Therefore, no elections will take place this year. We are excited to welcome Dale Goodwin and Brian Greene to the board starting April 1. And I look forward to continuing to serve our community as a member of the board. As board members, we collaborate with various committees to ensure that we are meeting our community’s needs. We protect our valuable amenities and look toward the future in a fiscally responsible manner. If you’re interested in joining the board in 2026, please consider joining a committee and attend others this year to learn more about how our community operates!
Update: Grill on the Green Comes Alive with Music, Again!
We are very fortunate to have three very different, yet outstanding opportunities to gather, eat, drink, and enjoy the company of friends and family. Whether you want to sit by or in the pool, enjoy upscale dining, or have the option to view sports on more individually controlled TVs than you can watch (inside and out), maybe even while enjoying a game of cornhole on the turf or sitting by one of the firepits, we have the place for you.
Exciting news about Grill on the Green! We have secured the Use Permit for live entertainment, allowing us to enjoy indoor and outdoor music again. To address sound concerns, the board has approved installing an acoustical system in the main dining area, which should be completed at the time of this publication. Additionally, we will use portable acoustical sound blankets during outdoor performances to minimize noise for nearby residents.
Stay tuned for more information soon on upcoming entertainment performances. Let’s meet at Grill on the Green!
IronOaks: The Ideal Retirement Destination!
We are committed to enhancing our community to ensure IronOaks remains the most desirable retirement destination in the Valley. Thank you for allowing us to serve you. See you next month!
