Agavé Quilters Guild March News

March guest speaker Joyce Holley

At our April 5 meeting we are doing a fun “Antique Quilt” trunk show and featuring our members! There was a great deal of interest when members were asked who would be willing to share a quilt (or several). We’re looking forward to the stories Agavé members and their quilts will tell!

Our UFO challenge (Unfinished Objects) last summer was such a hit that we’re challenging ourselves again this summer! At our May guild meeting, members will bring in all UFOs they plan to finish by November’s meeting. Can’t wait to see how many projects get finished this summer!

We are planning to have a Holiday Boutique again in November. Details to follow, but we have some exciting changes coming for this year’s boutique!

The Agavé Quilters March 1 meeting featured Joyce Holley from Noah & Her Sisters Quilt Co. in Tucson. Her passion for precision-pieced quilts led her to become a Deb Tucker Studio 180 Certified Quilt Instructor. Joyce is an energetic quilt instructor and designer, and her trunk show was outstanding!

Agavé Quilters Guild is open to new members of all skill levels. General meetings are held September through May on the first Wednesday of each month. For further information, please contact President Betty Bogaard at [email protected] or Dennie Sullivan, membership chair, at [email protected]. We look forward to welcoming you to our Agavé Quilt Guild, the original Sun Lakes Quilt Guild since 1995!
