Announcing the First-Ever Sun Lakes’ Celebration of the Creative Arts!

Carol Horowitz

A Two-Weekend Interfaith Festival Celebrating ALL of the Arts: Art, Music, Dance, and Drama!

Instead of focusing on just one of the art genres, why not enjoy all of the visual and performing arts over two weekends right here in Sun Lakes? Please mark your calendar to save the last two weekends in January to join your friends and neighbors for this first-ever celebration that showcases the best of Sun Lakes’ talent!

Presented by LAFF (Laughter and Friendship Forever), an interfaith organization that uses the creative arts to develop friendships, build interfaith understanding, and share camaraderie and laughter, this unique event has absolutely no religious content and is open to everyone!

An amazing variety of creative arts experiences will be featured! Regardless of your musical tastes, theatrical preferences, or the types of visual art that inspire your imagination, there will be something for everyone to enjoy!

Starting with theatrical performances, the first event will feature a reprisal of the hilarious musical comedy play, “The Key to A Good Night’s Sleep”! Two matinee performances, one on Saturday, Jan. 23 and the other on Sunday, Jan. 24, will pack all of the performing artsmusic, dance, and dramainto approximately one hour and twenty minutes of non-stop laughing! If you loved the musical comedy, “A Deli Line” that was performed a couple of years ago, you’ll love this even funnier production!

On the following weekend, Saturday, Jan. 30, you will be treated to a wide variety of outstanding instrumental and vocal Musical Performances of all genres, from instrumental presentations that span the gamut from instrumental ensembles, bands, piano, and guitar performances to vocal presentations, including chorales, choirs, singing ensembles, and individual performers!

Also on Saturday, January 30, there will be a juried art exhibition of two and three dimensional art, including drawing, painting, sculpture, gourd design, glass art, ceramics, and leather artwork with some of the artwork also being available for sale!

The event will be held at the Sun Lakes Chapel for All Faiths and the adjacent Chapel Center.

Calling all interested performers and artists! Please plan ahead and reserve the dates!
