Our Apple club, officially Sun Lakes Apple Users Group, will meet on March 11 and 18 for two photography sessions for iPhone users.
Our March speaker/leader will be Nancy Thoma, a popular presenter from the Sun Lakes Camera Club who shares her enthusiasm for photography and the techniques that can help us smile at our successes. The first session (on March 11) of her two-session presentation will be a brief overview of iPhone photo options and types of photos participants might want to shoot. Yes, there will be hands-on use of your iPhone camera.
Following Nancy’s brief introduction, you get to shoot. The group will go on a walkabout to the nearby lake (Cottonwood north lake) where we can find our own stimulating settings and take a number of photos. Nancy and husband John can offer suggestions and assistance. Following the photo shoot, Nancy will demonstrate how to edit a photo on the iPhone.
The second session (on March 18) will be a workshop on photo sharing and photo editing. If time permits, Nancy will discuss making iPhone albums.
The Apple club’s official name is Sun Lakes Apple Users Group (SLAUG). Meetings are held at 1:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month in the Phoenix Room at Cottonwood, near the pool. Thanks to the support of many Apple users in our community, our numbers have grown, and we find it necessary to limit attendance at our meetings. In March, we will have two meetings. Please contact John Thoma at [email protected] to let us know you would like to attend these two upcoming meetings, which are both at 1:30 p.m. Use the same email address to find out more about our club.
