The Arizona Fire & Medical Authority/Sun Lakes will host a monthly public education series at the Lecky meeting room at the Ed Robson Public Library on Riggs Road beginning in December.

Fire Marshal Eric Kriwer will present the initial session on “Cooking Fire Dangers and Fire Extinguisher Use” on Wednesday, December 20, from 10:00 a.m. until noon.

Kriwer said, “This is a way to engage and interact with the Sun Lakes community and tell them about fire safety and prevention at the same time. We are excited to kick this off.”

On Monday, January 17, the AFMA/Sun Lakes session will highlight “Fraud Awareness for Vulnerable Adults” with another session on Monday, February 21, concentrating on “Home Safety Awareness – Emergency Preparedness and What Happens When the Emergency Is Mine?”

All three sessions will start at 10:00 a.m. and end at noon and are provided at no cost. Seating is limited. The library is located at 9330 East Riggs Road in Sun Lakes.
