Art at the Lakes Donates to AFMA Firefighter Charities

The Art at the Lakes Committee presented a check for the proceeds of this year’s very successful event to the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority’s Captain Nate Stringfellow and his crew. A very grateful Stringfellow thanked the committee for their wonderful work supporting the AFMA charity over the years and loved the total of $15,750 raised. Capt. Stringfellow also told the women about some of the wonderful projects that the AFMA Firefighter Charities supports. Art at the Lakes 2023 was a huge success. Crowds of people walked the sidewalks to see and buy art displayed by 100 artists. The AFMA firefighters and medics cooked and sold delicious hamburger and hotdog meals. The lake area was filled with music. Lots of raffle tickets were sold. And in the end, this show and fundraiser raised $15,500 for the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority (AFMA) Firefighters Charities. It was a great day!

This was the 14th Art at the Lakes Art Show fundraiser. The money raised comes from the food sold, raffle ticket sales, artist entry fees, and donations made at the show.

Thank you to all the volunteers who sold raffle tickets, handed out programs, and drove their golf carts around the lake to ask artists if they needed a break. Thanks to Brian Curry, public information officer, for the great photos he took to commemorate the show. Thank you to the sponsors who want to show their appreciation for our community. Thank you to the band Brock Pro. And a special thank you to the Art at the Lakes committee members who work from November to March to put on a great fundraiser show.

We also thank the Sun Lakes community for coming out to support our wonderful firefighters and medics.
