The first half of our club’s bocce season was completed on Sunday, Jan. 8, and divisional winners were honored at our Awards Potluck held at Sisk Park the following Sunday.

Division A proved to be highly competitive once again, with the team of Mike Buscaglia and Doc Heckler winning the division and becoming club champions with only one loss, and two teams, Larry Beck and Jane Cambridge and Tony and Maria Racano, tying for second place with only two losses.

A great time was had by all members attending the Potluck where awards were handed out to all teams finishing first, second, and third, within their respective divisions. Congratulations to all teams receiving awards.

The following teams were first-place divisional winners in all other divisions: Division B: Terry Sporlander/Ron Bickford (undefeated); Division C: (tie) Karen and Neil Donahoe and Michael and Charlan DelSanders; Division D: Gary Bross/Wayne Hounsell; Division E: Sherry and Walter Parmon; Division F: Pat and Dan Prekel; Division G: Judy Hester/Beth Cirincione (undefeated); Division H: (3-way tie) Sherie and Tony Casillas, Ron and Kerin Seifert, and Kim Salvatore/Noelia Banister; Division I: Colleen and Bill Ferris (undefeated); Division J: (tie) Vivian Caldwell/Chip Kidd and Jerome and Angie Tuman; Division K: Carrie and Monty Bonello; Division L: Mary Rogge/Harley Pansch (undefeated)

A special thank you to our social directors Karen and Neil Donohoe for organizing yet another outstanding awards banquet, and to our membership director Colleen Linko for her efficient and timely divisional scheduling of teams for Session 2, so that divisional teams could schedule games at the Awards Banquet.

The second session of the bocce season kicked off on Jan. 16 and will run through March 19.
