The Sun Lakes Card Makers welcome new members this month. We are a group of skilled greeting card makers who are always ready to welcome new card enthusiasts to our group. We meet on the third Wednesday afternoon of every month year round in the Arts & Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Phase 1 at 1 p.m. Many of our ladies also meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. The lunch site varies but is always in the Sun Lakes area, and the girls often carpool.

Each month has a different theme and teacher. November is set aside as our calendar month. The members choose a month to make a suitable 6” x 6” “image” and are asked to make enough images for everyone in the group. The members then display the monthly image in a desk or wall frame. Also, each member takes a month to teach the other members. The teacher of the month prepares two or three card kits on her chosen theme, and then we make the cards during the monthly get-together. We have a lot of fun showing each other the “newest” in handmade cards. In December we will exchange five of our best cards in a hand-decorated gift bag and have a wonderful luncheon.
