The Real Estate Rustlers, sponsored by Jim Leckner’s Century 21 agency and managed by Mike Gloyd, won the Spring Sun Division Senior Softball title with a record of 13-5. They beat out the second place State Farm Insurance squad, sponsored by the Ralph Vasquez Agency and managed by Ron Carmichael, by two games. Brenden’s Financial Planning team finished third with Farmers Insurance, sponsored by Frank Margiotta’s agency, in fourth place.
Reyes Gonzales won his fourth consecutive batting title, finishing with a robust .817 mark. Steve Hilby finished second at .787, followed by Dan Melosi (.737), Paul Gayer (.724), and Bob Wicks (.719).
The regular season was followed by a three-day, double-elimination tournament. A recap of that tourney will be covered in next month’s edition of this newspaper.
