Cheers Singles Club is preparing for a busy 2018

We have already started a busy and exciting year. Travel, party, volunteering, wine and dine are all a part of this busy year of 2018. With that in mind, we are going to review the Cheers activities and their schedules. If you are not already involved, take a good look and get involved in one or two or more of the activities. Of course, there is always Cheers Happy Hour on Thursdays at Poolside Cafe at 4:00 p.m. That is the best.

Book Club – First Tuesday of the Month at 5:30 p.m. for dinner, followed by group discussion at 7:00 p.m. in the library at Oakwood. For more information, contact Judy Cody at 480-895-8608.

Hand and Foot – Third Tuesday of each month in the Bradford Room at Oakwood at 6:00 p.m. For more information, contact Sharon Dankworth at 480-883-2077.

Pinochle – A new group is being formed. More information available at Happy Hour.

Wine Tasting – Second Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. hosted by one of our members in their home. The cost is $5, plus bring a hearty appetizer. More information at Happy Hour or in the monthly newsletter. If you would like to be a host, call Lorene Roberts at 480-883-7979.

Birthday Party – We celebrate every three months at Cottonwood. Get ready to have a fun evening. Marjean does a great job.

Travel – Be sure to check the bulletin board on Thursdays at Cheers Happy Hour for all the interesting opportunity to travel. Richard will be there to answer any questions you may have. It’s important to book early, as space fills up quickly.

Volunteering – Here is your chance. Be the wine host or hostess. Organize fine dining at one of your favorite places.

Cheers for Chandler Schools – We are collecting toiletries, snacks, socks, notebooks, pens and pencils and gift cards for the needy and homeless in the Chandler Schools. If you have questions, call Sue Agnew at 491-3774.
