Cutting your “slab”

Ann Kisner

Well, here we are all about to enjoy winter in Sunny Arizona. The holidays were great but went too quickly. Here we are still enjoying the warmer days. By the time you are reading this, it may be getting a little cooler. That is okay, but not for too long. This gives us time to review and participate in the fun activities that our club offers.

First and most important is coming to our Social Hour, which is held at Oakwood in the Bradford Room every Thursday at 3:30 p.m. It’s a time to meet, visit, and enjoy new and old friends. You just may discover someone from your city, your state, or even from your college or high school. Our members are from many different places, here and everywhere.

We are so excited to tell you that the year of 2021 was very good for the members of Cheers. We now have 57 new members who joined during 2021. We are happy to say that they have been coming to the Social Hours and have volunteered in Wine Tasting and Dining-Out and starting a Mah Jongg group. Thank you to all of you.

If you want any information on any of these activities, check for details at our website at cheerssingles.org or check for info at the Social Hour. Activities should be back to our normal schedule in January.

We have a special request from our friends at Hamilton High School. If any of you have musical instruments you do not use and would like to donate them, there are some students who would love to have them to use at school. They would love to be able to be part of the band. Please call Sally at 203-470-0733.

If you are a single living in Sun Lakes, SunBird, Solera, or Springfield, you are welcome to join us. We would love to have you as a member. If you want more info, call Ginny Marr at 480-390-5145 or Richard Lewin at 480-525-3630, or check out our website at cheerssingles.org.
