August events started with the Ace of Aces Qualifier on the 6th. The low gross and low net competitors from each flight will qualify for the Ace of Aces tournament to be played in early 2023.

Flight 1: Low Gross Ron Resop, Low Net Pat Conry

Flight 2: Low Gross Bob Kish, Low Net Jim Curran

Flight 3: Low Gross Jerry Johnston, Low Net Garrett Bertsch

Flight 4: Low Gross Bill Score, Low Net Terence Cronin

On Aug. 13 the Pick Your Partner two ball event was played. This requires the use of both players’ scores, with one gross and one net score required. It was flighted by the team’s total handicap.

Flight A: Winning Team: Pat Conry and Michael Moore, Second-Place Team: Larry Frink and Robert Mifflin

Flight B: Winning Team: Stan Gross and Ray Osborne, Second-Place Team: (tie) Scott Rogers/Kevin Gillespie and Timothy Mandt/Pat Hawkins

Weather canceled the plans for Aug. 20.

Aug. 27 was the always-challenging ABCD team competition with a ladder format. The scoring uses the team’s 1 net score the first hole, 2 net scores the second hole, 3 net scores the third hole, and follows the 3, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3 through all 18 holes. Good golf and a little bit of luck are required.

The September calendar included the Ace of Aces Qualifier, a flighted Individual Low Gross/Low Net with a bonus Low Putt pot, a Pick Your Partner Two-Man Low Gross/Low Net competition, and a Two-Man Pick Your Partner Alternate Shot Scoring format.
