The month of January started with the Ace of Aces Qualifier on the 7th. The competition was flighted by handicaps with one Blue, three White, and one Green flight. The low gross and low net score from each flight will qualify for the Championship played at the end of this year.

The annual Presidents Cup Qualifier was played on Jan. 14. The 64 players with the lowest net scores were bracketed 1-64. Over the next several months, they will play matches until the field is whittled down to the last two standing. To be the champion will require winning eight head-to-head matches.
The annual Member/Member Championship sponsored by A-1 Golf Carts was played Jan. 21 and 22. The two-man team format on Saturday included a 9-hole alternate shot and a 9-hole one net team score. Sunday’s format included a 9-hole alternating select a drive and a 9-hole two net team score. There was one Blue and two White flights.

A lunch followed Sunday’s play, with nominations for several open positions for club offices accepted.
On Jan. 28 a four-man team assigned hole competition was held. It required a team 2 net score on each hole, with one score being the assigned player’s score.
