The American eagle has been our nation’s emblem since the Revolutionary War. Another cherished emblem of honor is the Purple Heart Medal. Instituted by none other than our first president, General George Washington, it distinguishes men of outstanding courage and valor. Have you been awarded this highly honored medal, the Purple Heart? If so, the Sun Lakes Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart urges and invites you to join us in our monthly breakfast meetings October through May. We gather together at Sun Lakes Country Club every second Friday of the month at 9:30 a.m. and enjoy fellowship, comradeship and special events. Twice a year, we gather together for an annual Christmas luncheon, as well as each May, a Memorial dinner program.
