The Cottonwood Clay Sculpture class invites everyone to artist Deborah Silvas’ presentation of her photo journey through Africa and Amsterdam this summer. We’re happy to announce the date and time of Deborah’s presentation in the Cottonwood Ceramic room (Room 8) in Sun Lakes: Wednesday, November 13 at 10:30 a.m. This invitation is open to residents of Sun Lakes, SunBird and the general public. The topic of Deborah Silvas’ presentation is as follows:
House on Fire/Swaziland – S. Africa – Under the administration and concept of Jiggs Thorne who was a student at Waterford, this cultural infusion includes an Afro – Shakespearean Amphitheatre, Gallery and Living Art Concept to bring people together through art, music, sculpture, drama and dance. Images will include outdoor grounds and sculptures made of ceramic tiles and wood carvings. Also, Rijksmuseum – Netherlands/Amsterdam, taken during the summer of 2014; the images will include architectural designs of the 19th century building, the outdoor sculpture and gardens as well as Dutch artists’ Golden Age paintings within the museum.

The Cottonwood Clay Sculpture class encourages you to include our Wednesday morning class in your fall/winter schedule!
