CLGA has wrapped up another year of competitive Thursday golf. We’ve enjoyed wonderful, though sometimes windy, weather and the company of some of the finest people in the country. Personally, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the privilege of this experience. We’ve wished “Ve Con Dios” to friends who escape to cooler climes for the summer, who can count on a warm welcome when you return in the fall.
Summer will see some temporary changes to our Thursday routine. There are no set games scheduled. Make your reservation as usual on Chelsea under Event Request for tee times starting at 6:30 a.m. By the way, if you haven’t bookmarked the CLGA website, do so. I believe it’s Sandy Eeds who keeps this site accurate, timely, and informative. It totally enhances the total ladies golf interaction.
When reviewing our May winners, it becomes starkly apparent that many of us need to “up” our games. The sister act of Lofquist/Hiller is exhausting our prize money budget.
Winners of the Individual Mish Mash included Nadine Sanders in the first flight, Nancy Gahn in the second flight, and Virginia Diers in the third flight.
Hard Nine winners were Mary Ann Lofquist in the first flight, Joni Hiller in the second flight, and Jennifer Pender in the third flight.
The Ghost Hole competition saw Mary Ann Lofquist winning in the first flight, Sandy Worden in the second flight, and Gloria Combs in the third flight.
Coming in first in their respective flights of the Cottonwood Combo competition were Nadine Sanders, Joni Hiller, and Ellie Franklin.
Appreciate the summer heat: Wear a big hat, play early, slather sunscreen, and stay hydrated.
