Now let us introduce you to Tennis Appreciation Month: May. Celebrations will be held around the world. Special tournaments will be organized, and it’s a great opportunity to recognize the sport’s rich history. It’s a sport that has been played for centuries and has evolved over time to become one of the most popular sports in the world. It requires skill, strategy, and athleticism and has produced some of the greatest athletes of all time. Think Roger Federer, Andre Agassi, Serena Williams, Chris Evert, Rafa Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

One of the most significant events during Tennis Appreciation Month is the French Open, which takes place in Paris every year during May. The French Open is an opportunity for fans to watch great tennis on TV and watch matches played on clay courts. The French Open is one of the four Grand Slam events for tennis. It’s also a time to recognize the impact that tennis has had on society. It has broken down barriers and brought people together. It’s a sport that can be played by people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds.

Try your hand at tennis sometime this month. Cottonwood Tennis Club offers a free lesson every Monday night run by Al Wagner with the assistance of Ollie Johnson and Barb Jorgensen. Join in the fun. Make new friends and continue the joy of tennis.
