Cottonwood Tennis Club fared well at the Volvo Classic at The Village. The Village is a local health and sports club that provides a tennis tournament for 22 divisions of players, with Volvo Gilbert sponsoring the event. The event took place April 27 through April 30, 2023.

CTC members Cindy Guillaume and Barb Jorgensen won three matches in the 18+ 4.0 level division to capture the first place gold medal. Ron Ryer competed in the 70+ Men’s Singles division and took first place in the consolation group. Dean Sinerius and partner Steve Nolan challenged 3.5 Men’s Doubles opponents and reached the championship match but fell short, taking the second place prize with matches 5-7, 6-3, dropping the deciding tiebreaker 6-10. Our winning players were cheered on by many other CTC members who watched the event. Congratulations and good show for CTC.
