Who likes ice cream?

We all like ice cream!

So mark your calendars now for the 21st annual Sun Lakes Charities Ice Cream Social! Our popular lip-smackin’ Blue Bell ice cream will be served with plenty of flavors to choose from plus sugar free for those who care! We aim to please our guests! Our “Scooper Uppers” are now in training for the event, though they have had plenty of practice in prior years! Needless to say, Paradise cookies will be on hand. Ice cream floats? Of course. Hot, steaming coffee will be available as well! This annual event will be held March 28 at the Cottonwood Country Club from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will note this is a Saturday. Our event has been held on Sundays in the past, but hey, ice cream tastes great on Saturdays too! Tickets are $6 in advance and $7 on Saturday, the day of the social. Youngsters under 12 are our guests! Kids Corner will be up and running with lots of face painting, games, and of course the fish pond will be ready! A fun day!

Our super raffle will be awesome!

We have some great dinner raffles!

Why do we hold this annual event?

Sun Lakes Charities, a non-profit organization, has a goal to give back to the East Valley community, in all ways possible. We are able to present scholarships to outstanding young people in the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley. Neighbors Who Care is another on our list. We deliver hams and turkeys to the needy families of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley and to Sister Martha at St. Peters Mission on Thanksgiving. We enjoy helping the American Service Animal Society. Money is donated to Dolly Dressers and AZ Blankets for kids. And annually, with the help of many local businesses and service organizations, we are able to clothe approximately 400 needy youngsters from the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley, a project we are very fond of.

How are we able to accomplish so much?

You make it happen! Thank you!

Through your participation in fundraisers such as our annual Ice Cream Social, we are able to help so many throughout the East Valley. We thank you for your continued support and generosity to Sun Lakes Charities and we thank Coulter of Tempe for their continued support year after year!
