The Desert Artist’s Club wishes to announce members Lynn Reinecker and Marilyn Conner will be the new team to submit columns for the Splash. The duo will be relieving Geri Hall who has graciously held this position for many years. Geri has done a great job keeping you up to date on our projects. It is our hope to continue these articles so that we may entice you to come join us.
Everyone has a little artist inside. It’s evident with the popularity of the various paint and wine afternoons, (or evening parties) that so many of you are trying. We are a diverse group with various medias and levels of expertise from new beginners to experienced artists that belong to several art leagues.
Come join us or stop in on Wednesday mornings (Sun Lakes Country Club Arts and Crafts Room from 9:00 a.m. through lunch) when we work on our recent projects. Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. We would love to meet you and encourage you to release the artist inside you.
Don’t forget Art at The Lakes on Saturday, March 7 in Cottonwood from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Brentwood Drive at the park across from the tennis courts. Artists from all around the area will be showing and selling their fine pieces. There will be music, a raffle, and the Sun Lakes firefighters will be serving up burgers, hot dogs, donuts, coffee and sodas. The event is a benefit for the Sun Lakes Emergency Relief Fund, (SLERF) and the 100 Club.
Come join the festivities and we hope to see you there.
