The Desert Artists Club (DAC) is still meeting temporarily in the SLCC Arts & Crafts Room while the Ceramics Room in Cottonwood is being remodeled. We meet on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Come for an hour or all three—whatever works for your schedule. It has been a fun time, with a good number of artists attending each Tuesday. The creative variety of styles is inspiring to see, and we are definitely enjoying being together during this heatwave. We invite all artists to stop in and join us or come and see what is being created and say hello. The room is on the west side of the clubhouse, so park in the west parking lot and walk around the enclosed shuffleboard courts to the clearly marked exterior entrance room. It is cool and bright, just what we need this summer.

The DAC is a club that inspires and encourages artists to create together in a relaxed and safe space. Artists create using many different mediums, including oils, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, colored pencils, charcoal, and mixed media, to name just some. We bring our own supplies and work on our own projects. Any artist or aspiring artist in the three HOAs of Sun Lakes may join. We have no dues or regular meetings. We do have occasional social gatherings where we share our art and delicious treats. Stop in any time and check us out. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
