New participants are welcome. When new people come more direction is given. It is so easy to follow along. You do not have to be limber or in shape.
There will be a little change in the classes. The stretching will still be done but more attention will be on getting back strength in the leg and hip muscles. If you are not an athlete you probably have weak hips and quadriceps and hamstrings. If so, your body is not as well balanced. Most modern people are weak in those areas because our activities are done sitting. I have long muscles and am very flexible but at the same time have weakness in my hip and upper leg area. I am very active but have not specifically done exercises for strength.
The exercises are modified for your particular condition. It is important to listen to your body, be hydrated and learn to relax. Wear loose comfortable clothing. This is a good way to start your day or end your day. You will feel energized. You will sleep better. We end class with QiGong meditative practice to calm the spirit and body.
Come a bit early to help set up the room. Bring a mat. There are some mats in the room.
No class on Thanksgiving Day, November 26
