The Sun Lakes (evening) Lions Club showed their support of community youth by presenting Perry High School student Evan Magana a scholarship of $1,000 per year for four years for continued college education. Evan will be attending Notre Dame University.

According to Larry Palmer, club president, Evan has set an excellent example for fellow students to follow and is a deserving recipient of this scholarship. Helping young people continue their education is one of the challenges our community faces, and it’s a need the Sun Lakes (evening) Lions Club continues to address. We are also extraordinarily grateful for the support and contributions we receive from our club’s Fly the Flag fundraiser program. You are helping us make a difference.

In addition to Evan’s scholarship, the club also provides three other students with a $1,000 scholarship for each of four years.
