February closed with our first of two tournament events, organized by our tournament director Sue Donovan, the Harry Bicchieri Memorial Bocce Tournament, which quickly sold out. It was an overwhelming success and well attended!

March will end our second session with our second tournament to be held on Thursday, March 14, at 2 p.m. and, finally, our Awards Banquet on March 24 at 1 p.m., both to be held at Sisk Park.

What a great year it has been, with many new players joining the Bocce Club and enjoying this great game for the first time. I encourage all who are interested in the Sun Lakes Bocce Ball Club (SLBBC) here at Sisk Park to visit our website, www.sunlakesbocceclub.com. It contains all the information required to familiarize yourself with bocce ball and the Sisk Park club, including “Club Play” and “Rules of the Game,” the official overview and rules for playing bocce ball with the club. Also, you will find detailed information regarding the club and the board of directors, along with up-to-date news articles.

Registration for the 2024–25 season will be posted on our website, and our Wine and Cheese kick-off event will be held at Sisk Park on Sunday Oct. 27, with league play starting on Monday, Oct. 28.
