Find Peace in Motion: Tai Chi Class at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church

Lauren Gebelle

Are you looking for a gentle way to care for your body, calm your mind, and connect more deeply with God’s gift of movement? We invite you to join our five-week Tai Chi class beginning Monday, Oct. 6, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. in Room 10 of the Education building at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Road.

Tai Chi is a graceful, low-impact form of exercise that promotes balance, strength, and inner peace, and it’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels. No equipment is needed. Simply come dressed in comfortable clothing and shoes.

The cost for the full five-week session is $25 per person (non-refundable), payable to Ila on the first day of class.

But more than just a class, this is a special opportunity to learn from a remarkable woman of faith and strength. At 84 years young, Ila brings not only decades of professional experience but a deep passion for helping others thrive. She holds certifications in martial arts, kickboxing, aquatics, and more and previously served as a national trainer and Lead Fitness Specialist with the YWCA/YMCA. Her compassionate and encouraging spirit will inspire you to care for your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Whether you’re seeking to improve your balance, reduce stress, or simply try something new in a faith-filled community, this class is a beautiful step forward.

We hope you’ll join us for this uplifting journey!
