Susan Reynhout, Publicity Chairman
Healthy eating is so important. Eating right doesn’t have to be complicated – simply begin to shift to healthier food and beverage choices. Emphasize fruit, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat or fat-free dairy products. Include lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs and nuts: whole foods. Real food is clean food. Get rid of junk foods – processed foods. Prioritize plants – vegetables are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidant and fiber – and devoid of calories, sugar and toxins known to cause health issues. As we age, the relationship to food changes along with our body. A decreased metabolism, changes in taste and smell and slower digestion may affect your appetite, the foods you can eat and how your body processes food. But now more than ever, healthy eating is important to maintain your energy and health, protect against diseases and help us to live longer and better.
And it is never too late to start! No matter how old you are or how unhealthy you’ve been in the past, caring for your body has enormous benefits that will help you manage health problems, boost your immune system, sharpen your memory, increase energy and just feel better.
If you could improve the quality of your health and life, wouldn’t it be worth it to make some changes? Join us and take charge of your health now. Have a great support system to help.
