The Fun Lakers Club is getting into full swing with activities on a monthly basis. October through December activities are in full preparation mode, and we are very excited!

Come join us for the Fun Lakers Comedy Night event on Friday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. After our last two comedy events were such a success, we continue the tradition with yet more laughter. The evening will present three different comedians (Stephanie Morris, Brian McKay, and Michael Bailey) for approximately 90 minutes. Doors open at the Cottonwood San Tan Ballroom at 5:30 p.m. for bar and food on a limited menu for those who would like to dine first (not included in ticket price). Awesome low ticket price of $10 per person with an eight person per table set-up. If you want to share a table with friends, be sure to sign up together to reserve ahead of time. The next event on the schedule is the Progressive Dinner, so mark your calendar for Nov. 6, 2021. Come experience a Mediterranean meal with wine pairing. You’ll meet new friends as you visit at private homes for the appetizers at 3:30 p.m. and the main dinner at 5 p.m. Desserts will bring us to Cottonwood’s ballroom as we enjoy dancing to the music of Outside the Line until 9 p.m. Look for more details to come early in October as well as on FunLakers.org. The next event will be the Holiday Dinner/Dance in December, with more information coming next month. Woodstock/Lip Sync Contest event is going to be Jan. 15, 2022. We are looking for artists who want to perform in the Lip Sync. This will be similar to our Woodstock event of the past. More information will be coming soon.

Euchre Club meets year-round on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. To join, call Joe and Gloria Tucker at 812-584-2542. We also have Mexican Train every Monday evening at 6 p.m. in the Cottonwood Game Room.

If you are single, don’t forget to sign up for the Solo club if you are joining the Fun Lakers Club, or let us know if you are a member and want to be added to the Solo list. Also note that there is a Solo table at all events.

Season passes are on sale for the six Sun Lakes Dance Parties that start on Thursday, Oct. 21, and end in April. Doors will open at the San Tan Ballroom in Cottonwood at 6 p.m., free dance lessons at 6:30 p.m., with open dance from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Come for dinner, no host bar, limited food menu available. A season pass is $60 per person (6 dances) $10 per dance versus $15 at the door. Purchase also includes admission for one “free dance” pass for your friends or family. Registration offer ends Oct. 1, 2021. All are welcome. You do not have to be a Fun Lakers member to purchase a season pass or attend dances.
