Everyone had a great time at the Potluck and Pool Party on Saturday, June 29, at Oakwood Poolside Café. There are no major events in August, but we would like to let everyone know that we have Get Your Game On every week! Euchre is the first and third Tuesday of each month; we meet at rotating host/hostess’ homes. You need to call Joe and Gloria Tucker at 812-584-2542 to reserve your spot to play. Mexican Train meets every Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the Cottonwood Game Room. Canadian Goose meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Cottonwood Game Room.

We are also introducing a new arm of the Fun Lakers Club called Solo Fun Lakers. The demographics of Sun Lakes has changed over the years due to many different circumstances and a changing world, so there are many more people in the community “going it alone” or, as our business cards and flyers say, “Flying Solo.” We want to reach out to all these people and help them find social avenues to participate in with others. So, we came up with the idea of sharing contact info in a quick, non-threating way – a business card with our logo on it which you can get from Jeanne Brady (602-403-8593 or email [email protected]). We encourage our members to take the Solo business cards with them, and when you meet a person who meets the above criteria, give them a card and encourage them to join in at the next event.
