Is it time to eat, but you’re not hungry? Then again, if you feel like eating, do you find yourself eating in front of the TV rather than eating at the dining room table? Could it be the empty chair at the dining table is a painful reminder of a loved one who passed away? If so, grief is pushing you away from the table. If you’ve just lost a loved one, Riemann Family Funeral Homes can help you take care of the practicalities.
Truly, there is more to grief than the tears that are shed. Grief impacts one’s entire life – emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically. Every corner of life is impacted by the heartbreak of grief. When a loved one dies, life is never the same for those left behind.
Beginning May 2, Sun Lakes United Methodist Church will offer GriefShare, a non-denominational seminar and support group designed to assist those who are struggling with the loss of a loved one. GriefShare features nationally-recognized experts on grief recovery topics. Seminar sessions include “Is This Normal?” “The Challenges of Grief,” “Grief and Your Relationships” and “Guilt and Anger.”
If you find yourself struggling with grief, consider attending GriefShare starting Wednesday, May 2, at 1:00 p.m. For more information or to register ($15), call the church office at 480-895-8766 or stop by 9248 E. Riggs Road (west of Robson Library). v
