Start the new year better equipped to become a healthier you by joining us at the Women’s Connection on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. for a fabulous program, which includes coffee, tea, pastries, and fruit, with gluten-free available upon request. Admission is $22 (tax and gratuity included) payable by cash or check at the door of the Oakwood Country Club Kingston Ballroom located at 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., in Sun Lakes.

Stella Nelson, a resident of Rio Verde, Ariz., and Bismarck, N.D., is our guest speaker. She is a baton-twirling, tap-dancing grandma who flips homes in her retirement years! After retiring, Stella has lived in Sun Lakes, Gold Canyon, and Orlando. Upgrading and decorating her homes led to flipping 14 homes over the years. As a strong-willed, driven woman, she has struggled with the question, “Who is in control?” making that the title of her talk.

Bryann Braley, our special feature, has been a health and wellness coach for six years and will share tips about how to incorporate health and wellness into our daily lives. Bryann is a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. She aspires to support, coach, and educate people of all ages, genders, and capabilities. Every person is unique. She attributes her education and knowledge to all the people she has had the pleasure of supporting in their individual goals.

Diana Perez, a popular local pianist and vocalist, is the featured soloist, as well as providing the pre-program music. Diana provides programs for a variety of assisted care facilities, as well as at the local country clubs in Sun Lakes. Diana’s band Sentimental Breeze performed at a recent jazz festival in Chandler.

The Crystal Card Project cards will be available for purchase before and after this event. The proceeds from their beautified, recycled cards help support a local facility that houses domestic abuse victims and their children.
