Ironwood Cup: The Ironwood Cup is now history… and, wow, was it a close one! Bernie Dugan edged out Bill Beltz by two strokes… and Jim Martin was a close third. Bernie is the new Ironwood Cup Champion. Congratulations, Bernie!

The first-place finishers by flight were: Flight 1 Bill Beltz, Flight 2 Mark Saylor, Flight 3 Jim Martin, Flight 4 Kurt Utzinger, Flight 5 Bernie Dugan, Flight 6 Michael Kozak

Finances: Our treasurer, Dan Jonker, reports that the club is in good shape financially and notes that we have not increased our annual membership dues for the past 10 years!

Greens and Grounds: Bill Ranney, our Greens and Ground Committee Chairman, Greens and Grounds: Bill reported he called and texted course maintenance regarding the poor condition of the sand traps on most holes and that the problem is ongoing. There is little sand in the bottom of the traps, and golfers are hitting the “billy bunker” lining and we are hopeful that the problem will soon be corrected.

Prize Committee: Rich Pavlak has stepped up to chair the Prize Committee. Thank you, Rich!

Tournaments: Dan Smith, tournament director, asked input on whether the Club Championship should be played from the White Tees. A consensus was reached… and the decision was made to keep the Club Championship on the blue tees.

2019 Rule Changes: John Davis, rules chairman, has posted the 2019 Rule Changes on our website under the “Info & Docs” tab. They are significant and are in effect! The “stroke and distance” rule is in effect. Be sure to take advantage of it when appropriate.
